
Marrakech will house the third hotel of the giant Iberostar in Morocco
The Iberostar group, leader in the hotel industry in Spain, will strengthen its presence in Morocco with the opening of a third hotel in April. It is Marrakech which will house the latest addition to the chain.
Already present in Agadir and Saïdia, the Iberostar Hotels & Resorts group, leader in the hotel sector in Spain, has announced the opening of its third establishment in Morocco for the month of April. The latter, with a capacity of 318 rooms, will be inaugurated in the city of Marrakech, specifies the Spanish press agency EFE.
Located a quarter of an hour from the medina of the Ocher City, the Iberostar Club Palmeraie Marrakech is a completely renovated 4-star hotel. The Spanish group has notably extended the reception capacity (312 rooms previously), but also the surface area of the garden (11 hectares now compared to 10).
Aurelio Vázquez, director of Iberostar for the Europe, Middle East and North Africa region, told the press that the opening of the Marrakech establishment is « another sign of the expansion plans of the chain, and of our objective to continue our growth with a superior product in the most important tourist destinations. In North Africa, Marrakech is undoubtedly one of the jewels of the tourism« .
The Marrakech hotel is one of six planned to open in 2017 by the Spanish group. Present in thirty countries around the world, Iberostar will inaugurate its eighth establishment in Africa in the Ocher City, where it already has 4 hotels in Tunisia and another in Cape Verde.
