Agadir: 16.03% increase in the number of tourists at the end of March
National tourists topped the Agadir clientele during the 1st quarter of 2017 with a total of 60,311 arrivals.
The number of tourists who stayed in the various classified hotels, clubs, hotel residences and guest houses in Agadir during the first quarter of 2017 increased by 16.03%. In this regard, the destination recorded approximately 202,488 arrivals compared to 174,506 arrivals in the same period of 2016. According to statistics from the Agadir-Souss-Massa Regional Tourism Council (CRT), national tourists topped the Agadir clientele during the 1st quarter of 2017 with a total of 60,311 arrivals compared to 56,785 compared to the same period of 2016, an increase of 6.21%.
Similarly, the German market continues its progression and is positioned in second place with an increase of 83.69% and a total of 34,036 arrivals during the 1st quarter of 2017 compared to 18,529 arrivals a year earlier. The French market comes in 3rd position with an increase of 20.09% with 33,529 arrivals compared to 27,921 during the 1st quarter of 2016. As for the English market, it comes in 4th position, totaling 19,670 arrivals, compared to 17,852 during the 1st quarter of 2016, up 10.18%.
