Gulf Crisis: RAM can no longer operate its flights to 6 countries in transit in Doha

On Monday June 5, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Yemen and the Maldives severed diplomatic relations with Qatar. Since then, all links between the 6 countries and Qatar have gradually suffered the consequences. Royal Air Maroc had to cancel flights due to the cancellation of the airline linking these countries to Qatar.

« Due to the cancellation of all flights linking Doha (Qatar) to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the Maldives, Bahrain and Egypt, Royal Air Maroc announces that it can no longer operate flights to these countries, with transit at Doha airport », informs the Moroccan company in a press release.

RAM specifies that direct lines between Morocco and these countries are still assured. “The airline between Casablanca and Doha is operational. Furthermore, the direct flights of the Moroccan national company linking the Kingdom of Morocco to Egypt and Saudi Arabia will operate normally,” underlines RAM.

Customers affected by the cancellations can schedule their trips on new flights. For further information, the company invites them to contact its services at 089000 0800 (Morocco) or +212522489797 (international).

« Royal Air Maroc apologizes to the customers concerned for the inconvenience caused by this situation beyond its control », concludes the company.

Tuesday June 6, following the diplomatic break between these Gulf countries, Saudi Arabia had already canceled Qatar Airways’ license. “For its part, Qatar Airways, which serves nine cities in Saudi Arabia, announced that it had suspended all its flights to the Saudi kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt sine die,”
