Tourism – Morocco reopens its borders to travelers from abroad “under conditions” (Time Out)
Opening. Morocco, after closing its land, air and sea borders following the Covid-19 pandemic, has decided to once again welcome visitors from abroad provided they have a hotel or “business” reservation at the invitation of a Moroccan company.
According to the national airline Royal Air Maroc, the easing of restrictions will apply to travelers from 67 countries exempt from the visa requirement for Morocco, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and all EU member states.
However, underlines the London site “TimeOut”, travelers to Morocco must provide a negative Covid-19 screening test result less than 48 hours old and wear a mask.
The same source further recalls that some tourist cities such as Marrakech, Fez and Tangier have been closed since the end of July, stressing that vacation options will probably be more reduced this year but that it is possible to find open seaside resorts.
