Morocco: border closure extended until January 31, 2022
Since the end of November, Morocco has completely withdrawn into itself. The Kingdom decided to close its borders with France, then with everyone, following the emergence of the omicron variant. The air travel closure system has been extended at least until January 31, 2022. Yet another hard blow for tourism professionals who can no longer see the end of the tunnel.
Unfortunately in Morocco, the start of the new year strangely resembles the end of 2021.
On November 28, 2021, the government did not hesitate to close the sky again, with the appearance of theOmicron variant.
News that has shaken the private tourism sector for two years of the French major holidays, both summer and winter. Without the comings and goings of French people, the tourist industry finds itself in great pain.
« For two years, they (the country’s leaders editor’s note) have canceled all holidays (sky closure in March 2020, then March 2021, summer and December).
At this rate, the providers will all go out of business, » entrusted us Yasmine, boss of RIF Planète.
