Dakhla hosts the Morocco-Spain Business Forum on June 21 and 22

The city of Dakhla will host, on June 21 and 22, the Morocco-Spain Business Forum, with a view to consolidating economic relations, promoting the region’s economy and raising awareness of its potential and investment opportunities among Spanish businessmen. Initiated by the Council of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, this forum aims to highlight the wealth of the region in terms of investment and to bring together companies and institutional players to facilitate foreign investments in Dakhla, indicates a press release from the Regional Council. This economic event will bring together private and public entities, potential investors and businessmen around a fruitful commercial exchange, in order to discuss the different opportunities favoring the evolution of the trade balance between Morocco and Spain, notes the press release.

It will also be a question of establishing new investment links between the Moroccan and Spanish private and public sectors, particularly in the areas of agriculture, tourism, logistics, renewable energies and fishing. According to the same source, this event comes after the position of the Spanish government to support the Moroccan autonomy plan, as being “the most serious, realistic and credible basis” for resolving the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara. This event will be particularly rich in networking meetings, in addition to visits to key projects in the region.
