
Launch of “Go Siyaha”: 720 million dirhams to boost Moroccan tourism
The “Go Siyaha” program was officially launched in Rabat, marking a significant step for the Moroccan tourism sector. With a budget of 720 million dirhams, this program aims to support more than 1,700 tourism businesses in their development and adaptation to current and future challenges. + A – A The initiative, highlighted by the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatima Zahra Ammor, is not limited to financial support but also extends to technical support, particularly for digitalization, improving income and the ecological transition of businesses. The launch of “Go Siyaha” is part of the new tourism roadmap for the period 2023-2026, aiming to boost the sector and promote Morocco as a destination of choice through various initiatives, including a focus on the air sector to attract more tourists. Ms. Ammor also highlighted the reorientation of the country’s tourism offering towards enriching experiences to meet the expectations of new traveler profiles, in collaboration with entities such as the Office of Vocational Training and Labor Promotion (OFPPT) and the National Tourism Confederation (CNT). The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour, praised the commitment of stakeholders, including Maroc PME and tourism professionals, for their contribution to this ambitious program. He underlined the importance of Maroc PME in strengthening the competitiveness and growth of Moroccan businesses. Brahim Arjdal, general director of Maroc PME, detailed the three key components of “Go Siyaha”: strengthening the tourism offer, supporting competitiveness and supporting green growth. These areas cover a wide range of interventions, ranging from support for investment in green projects to advice on financial strategy and digital transformation, targeting start-ups and cooperatives with a turnover of less than 200 MDH. Hamid Bentahar, president of the CNT, expressed his support for “Go Siyaha”, considering it as an essential lever to enrich the Moroccan tourism offer, both for national and international visitors, by improving the attractiveness of the sector and promoting investments. The 2023-2026 tourism roadmap places at the heart of its priorities the enrichment of the tourist experience, by diversifying the activities offered across the Kingdom to offer unique experiences to visitors. This program therefore represents a major step forward for the Moroccan tourism sector, in search of renewal and adaptation to global trends.
