Morocco’s airports recorded a new record of 15,104,579 passengers welcomed during the first six months of 2024, up 19% compared to the same period a year earlier, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).

This growth concerns the majority of airports, including Rabat-Salé (+40%), Agadir (+34%), Marrakech (+29%), Tetouan (+23%), Tangier (+21%) and Fez (+12%), indicates the Office in a press release. According to the same source, domestic traffic reached 1,531,191 passengers welcomed in the first half of this year, an improvement of 22% compared to the same period of 2023. International air traffic, for its part, recorded an increase of 19% compared to H1-2023, or 13,573,388 passengers welcomed. This development is attributed to the good performance of the markets of Europe (+20%), Africa (+16%) and the Middle and Far East (+15%).
