
Gitex Africa 2025 opens its doors in Marrakech: Africa in the era of artificial intelligence
The third edition of Gitex Africa was officially launched on April 14, 2025 in Marrakech, in the presence of high-level personalities, including Amal Fellah Seghrouchni, Minister of Digital Transition, the head of government Aziz Akhannouch, the president of CGEM Chakib Alj, as well as international tech leaders. A major event dedicated to technological innovation on the continent, Gitex Africa brings together this year more than 1,400 exhibitors, including hundreds of startups, 400 investors and delegations from 130 countries. ? At the heart of the discussions: artificial intelligence (AI). The speakers unanimously underlined the importance for Africa to take an active part in this technological revolution. According to Amal Fellah Seghrouchni, “AI is no longer a futuristic concept, it is very present and is already transforming the architecture of innovation”. ?
