The 17th edition of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM) aims to attract more than a million visitors, declared this Monday in Meknes, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Ahmed El Bouari. Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this edition was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan. It brings together more than 1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries, according to the minister’s details. Organized this year around the theme: “Agriculture and the Rural World: Water at the heart of sustainable development”, the show highlights a crucial issue in the current context of climate change. France, the guest country of honor for this edition, illustrates the excellence of bilateral relations between Rabat and Paris, particularly in the fields of agriculture and food security, he underlined. SIAM 2025 offers visitors a wide range of agricultural products, as well as an overview of the latest innovations in agricultural machinery, with the aim of strengthening the promotion of agricultural, agri-food and rural sectors. Over the years, the show has established itself as a major meeting for agriculture in Africa, offering a unique platform for exchange, visibility and partnerships for all players in the sector.
