Casino plans to open 210 convenience stores in Morocco by 2035

Casino and H&S Invest Holding join forces to establish Franprix and Monoprix in Morocco The French group Casino and the Moroccan conglomerate H&S Invest Holding formalized this Monday a strategic partnership with a view to deploying the Franprix and Monoprix brands on the Moroccan market. This collaboration provides for the opening of more than 210 points of sale by 2036, with the first stores expected from 2026. This exclusive partnership is part of Casino’s new international expansion strategy, which focuses on franchise development to strengthen the visibility of its emblematic brands abroad. Present in more than 20 countries, the group already has 472 franchised stores outside mainland France, representing 3.5% of its turnover in 2024. Philippe Palazzi, general manager of Casino, welcomed this alliance: « This partnership illustrates our ability to take advantage of the power of our brands, our logistical expertise and our know-how in local commerce, in a market as promising as Morocco. » He also underlined that the local roots and operational robustness of H&S Invest Holding will enable rapid and efficient implementation, adapted to the new consumption habits of Moroccans. For both Casino and H&S, this project represents a major growth opportunity, drawing on dynamic local demand and a rapidly evolving market.
