♦ Chichaoua: Abdo Hakim
As part of the fight against the challenges linked to the supply of drinking water to the rural world, particularly in the face of rising temperatures, the governor of the province of Chichaoua, Bouabid El Karrab, made a visit this Tuesday to field to supervise two major groundwater treatment projects, in the presence of the head of the Chichaoua circle.
The visit focused on a first project located in the douar El Mezzazka, in the commune of Oulad El Moumen, where the work is almost completed, pending connection to the electricity network before its upcoming commissioning. As for the second project, it is located in the douar El Mzara, in the area of Touijrate, commune of Sidi Mokhtar, where the installation technical equipment has already started.
Groundwater treatment technology constitutes an essential and sustainable solution to overcome the problem of drinking water supply. A first unit commissioned in the El Nwassir douar, in the commune of Sidi Bouzid Rekraki, already ensures the supply of more than 700 homes with drinking water.
