The national coach, Walid Ragragui, affirmed that certain refereeing decisions which had a direct impact on the progress of the CAN 2025 matches did not receive the same media attention as other more controversial situations.
Regragui stressed that his technical staff observed several clear refereeing actions, notably the pushing of Bilal Khennous into the penalty area during the match against Mali, as well as the violent intervention on Abdel Samad El Alzouli during the match against Cameroon.
He specified that these sequences should, at least, have been the subject of an examination via the VAR, even if they did not spark public or media debate like other actions.
