A hotel in Essaouira, nominated for the ‘Grand Prix for the Best Hotel in Africa’
Paris: Another distinction for the Moroccan hotel structure which is renowned worldwide. Now a Moroccan hotel has been nominated in the ‘Grand Prix for Best Hotel in Africa’ category.

This is the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa which was elected by the jury of the Villégiature Awards 2012 for the ‘Grand Prix for Best Hotel in Africa’. The 22 press correspondents and journalists from major European press outlets, but also American, Chinese, Japanese and Australian, who make up the jury have designated the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa among the 5 most beautiful hotels in Africa for the year 2012; according to Infomediary.
On November 5, the results will be revealed in Paris, and therefore the names of the winners of the different categories. This is, therefore, the opportunity for the Moroccan Resort to appear in the list of big winners of the Prix Villégiature, alongside major hotels such as the Plaza Athenée in Paris or the Royal Palm hotel in Mauritius.
As a reminder, the Villégiature prize has been rewarding the best hotels on 5 continents for 10 years. The Grand Prix for Best Hotel in Africa was awarded in 2011 to Club Med Sinai Bay in Egypt.
