President Marzouki is in Marrakech

eMarrakech: The interim president of Tunisia Mohammed Moncef Marzouki landed this morning in Marrakech.
His trip to the ocher city will be the private part of his official visit to Morocco. The Tunisian president will pay his respects at the tomb of his late father, at the Bab Doukala cemetery.
Visits also to members of his family established in the ocher city will be on the program.
President Marzouki, who was welcomed at Marrakech Menara airport by the Minister of Agriculture Aziz Akhennouch, came down to the Stynia palace in the Rmila district. Moncef Marzouki will give an audience to a number of political and civil figures from the city, including Marrakech left-wing activists, former acolytes of his father who officiated as a legal expert in the courts of Marrakech. Note that a half-sister of the president resides in the ocher city and is married to an official of the city, and it is with her that the Tunisian president would have confided his wish to reside there during his stay in Marrakech.
