
Tourism: major Chinese investors are prospecting in Morocco
The delegation, made up of investors, is visiting Morocco from 20 to 27 February 2017 with the aim of explore the tourism investment opportunities that the country offers. The opportunity for Imad Barrakad, President of SMIT (Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering) to provide information on Morocco’s development strategy and its business and investment climate.
The head of the delegation, Wang Yong Bao, expressed the wish of the Chinese delegation to diversify their investments in Morocco. He also recalled China’s initiative aimed at promoting the Silk Road which represented one of the main passages which linked China and the southern and western parts of Central Asia and India with the bordering regions of Africa and Europe.
This delegation includes different investor profiles including thematic hotels, amusement and leisure parks as well as wellness resorts. She must go to Tangier, Saidia, Al Hoceima, Fez, Essaouira and Marrakech. Investment opportunities will also be presented at the Azur plan stations which will be visited by the Chinese delegation.
China is now Morocco’s third trading partner.
