Morocco-Côte d’Ivoire: craftsmanship at the center of cooperation relations
The Ivorian and Moroccan governments signed 14 bilateral agreements on February 27, 2017, at the presidential palace of Côte d’Ivoire, in Abidjan, on the occasion of the friendship and working visit carried out by His Majesty to Côte d’Ivoire.
Among these conventions, let us cite that relating to the development of the Social and Solidarity Economy and Crafts. To do this, the commissions of the two countries have developed a strategy which revolves around six points, namely the organization of a Social and Solidarity Economy Fair, the sharing of the experience and expertise of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), the study of legal, regulatory and institutional frameworks, the carrying out of a study of opportunities to launch business incubators and accelerators, the realization of partnerships with national champions Moroccans established in Ivory Coast, the establishment of an “Infitah African” program in order to modernize and digitalize VSEs. This agreement was signed by Laila Miyara, Co-President of the Social and Solidarity Economy and Crafts Commission (GIE-Morocco) and Kassoum Bamba, Co-President of the Social and Solidarity Economy and Crafts Commission (GIE-Côte d’Ivoire).
