Air Arabia Maroc launches a new domestic line

Air Arabia Maroc launches 14 new international frequencies as well as an internal connection between Fez and Marrakech, a first in Morocco. This launch is part of a large-scale project which is part of the company’s desire to promote the destination Morocco.

Launched in collaboration with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), this project to strengthen the Fez base confirms the commitment of both parties to offer improved connectivity between the airports of Morocco and the largest source areas of tourists. This choice is motivated by the fact that the spiritual capital of Morocco, as well as its region, present great tourist potential, explains the company which is entering its eighth year of operation.

In addition, the launch of the first domestic service linking two leading tourist destinations in the Kingdom is part of the company’s commitment to supporting internal tourism, in addition to the desire to develop cross-border tourism for foreign passengers wishing to discover the magic of the two imperial cities during the same trip, specifies Air Arabia Maroc.

These lines will be operational from June 14, 2017. Thus, Rome, London, Lyon, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Brussels and Barcelona will be served with two weekly frequencies per destination. Most of these cities will be connected for the first time from Fez.

The Fez–Marrakech connection will be operated three times a week, on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Sold at 450 Dhs including tax, it will be operated by the Air Arabia Maroc fleet made up of Airbus A320 aircraft.

For its part, passenger traffic at the Fez-Saïss airport experienced an increase of 9.57% last January compared to the same period of the previous year. Some 73,420 travelers passed through the airport in January 2017, compared to 67,009 passengers during the same period last year, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).
