Kenitra at the time of the 7th international strawberry festival
The 7th edition of the International Strawberry Festival kicked off on Wednesday in Kenitra, under the theme: “the riches of Africa for Africa”, in the presence of several representatives of the diplomatic corps in a number of African countries.
Organized by the Nalsya Foundation for Development, Environment and Social Action, in partnership with the urban commune of Kénitra, this event, which this year puts Africa in the spotlight, aims to promote strawberry production within the framework of an integrated investment and environmental policy capable of promoting the marketing of this fruit on the international and African market, through the adoption of methods and techniques respecting environmental standards in order to mitigate the effects of climate change.
This edition constitutes an opportunity to encourage the production of this fruit with high food and medicinal value in African markets, Festival director Abdelkrim Nouman told MAP, noting that the return of Morocco to its Pan-African family is a historic event which will have a positive impact on the future of Morocco in particular, and the African continent in general, taking into account the major projects launched by HM Mohammed VI during his last visits to a number of African countries and the conventions signed in the agricultural field.
