Ramadan explained to British tourists
Agadir – The British ambassador in Rabat, Timothy Morris, launched on Monday in Agadir, a campaign intended to raise awareness among nationals of his country staying in Morocco during the next Ramadan about the rites and customs specific to the holy month.

Every year, almost 300,000 British tourists visit Morocco and Ramadan this year happens to coincide with the peak of the summer season, Morris said to explain
the interest of this communication campaign.
For this purpose, the British Embassy has developed leaflets containing information and practical advice on culture, traditions and the rules to be respected during the month of fasting.
These documents will be distributed to tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, hotels and restaurants to make them available to their customers.
« The number of British tourists spending their holidays in Morocco continues to increase. It is important that they can enjoy their holidays and share, for those whose stay
coïncide avec le Ramadan, l’expérience de ce mois de méditation et de joie pour les Musulmans », a souligné le diplomate lors d’un point de presse.
In general, British nationals, he said, are aware of the importance of the month of Ramadan, given the presence of a strong Muslim community in Britain.
Representatives of British tour operators and travel agents and some representatives of the community of this country established in Morocco attended the launch of this campaign.
According to the British Embassy services, a communication action will be launched in parallel on the embassy website and on the Facebook social network.
