AMDL in force at the 16th edition of the Transport Logistic 2017 Exhibition
The dynamics experienced by the development of the logistics sector in Morocco as part of the national logistics strategy must be consolidated and accentuated over the coming years on several levels. It is with this vision that the Moroccan Logistics Development Agency (AMDL) is diversifying its actions and will participate in the 16th edition of the global pilot exhibition for logistics, mobility, information technologies and supply chain management “Transport Logistic 2017” which will be organized from May 9 to 12, 2017 in Munich, Germany. Indeed, AMDL will be present at this show as part of a Moroccan pavilion which will house several players in the logistics sector in Morocco. In this sense, the Moroccan Logistics Development Agency will host a conference on May 10, 2017 under the theme “Moroccan Logistics Hub, Unlocking your African growth potential” at the Munich Exhibition Center. This conference aims to promote the Kingdom’s logistics assets through several presentations and interventions during this essential event for players in the sector. “This exhibition has acquired the reputation of the leading international exhibition for logistics, mobility and supply chain management. On the program for the show this year: high-quality conferences, highly animated round tables as well as B2B meetings with a view to providing a comprehensive overview of the technologies, know-how and innovations experienced by the sector on an international scale,”specifies AMDL. It should be noted that during its last edition, the show welcomed more than 55,000 visitors from 124 countries and 2,050 exhibitors from 62 nationalities in an exhibition space of more than 112,000 m². Furthermore, AMDL is launching, in partnership with the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises and in collaboration with professionals in the sector, the 2nd edition of the Moroccan logistics trophies “Moroccan Logistics Awards”.
This competition is aimed at companies and professionals, whose innovative practices and solutions contribute to the development of efficiency and sustainability in the logistics sector in Morocco. Each year, it rewards members of the logistics community who have led projects and initiatives in Morocco constituting a concrete contribution to the development of logistics with a particular focus on the promotion of good logistics practices, excellence, creativity, innovation and sustainability in the sector. For this second edition, the MLA 2017 will reward: the logistics project of the year, a prize open to any company and institution in the industry, commerce and services sector under Moroccan law, carrying out a logistics project already carried out or in the process of being implemented and sufficiently advanced to be able to evaluate the results; the professional of the year: open to any personality who has contributed through their actions to the development of the logistics sector in Morocco and proposed by a professional association. And for the first time, the “Green Logistics” project of the year, open to any company or institution under Moroccan law that has implemented a project aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of its logistics and falling within one of the areas defined in the “Moroccan Green Logistics” initiative. The winners of the three trophies will be revealed during a ceremony to be organized in Casablanca on May 18, 2017.
