
Couscous with dried fruits
Ingredients
- For the couscous seeds:
- 600 g of medium couscous semolina
- 100g raisins
- 6 tablespoons of oil
- 100g butter
- For the garnish:
- 1 orange
- 100 g dried apricots
- 100 g of Agen prunes
- 100 g dates
- 3 tbsp. tablespoon of sugar

Share this recipe for Couscous with dried fruits as a friendly dessert with your friends! You can vary the recipe by using other dried fruits than those suggested.
Prepare the semolina according to the instructions at the bottom of the page. Incorporate the raisins into the semolina before the second steaming. Leave to cool.
Squeeze the orange and add the sugar to the juice. Drizzle the couscous with sweet orange juice. Mix gently with your hands.
Remove the stones from the prunes and dates. Cut them into small pieces, adding the apricots. Steam the dried fruits for 20 minutes.
Present the couscous in a round dish. Decorate the dish by arranging the dried fruits over the entire surface of the couscous.
This dish is traditionally served to guests as a second course, after having served a meat tagine or a chicken tagine.
Accompany this Couscous with dried fruits with whole milk yogurt as a dessert, or serve it with honeyed duck breast to make it a main dish.
