The various events that Al Hoceima has experienced over the past year have had a strong impact on local tourism. The number of arrivals at the city level thus fell by 18% at the end of last October to 25,961; according to the report drawn up by the Regional Tourism Delegation. This decline had an impact on overnight stays, which fell by 8% to 59,840 at the level of classified tourist accommodation establishments. Over the first six months of the past year, the number of nights recorded by international tourists stood at 8,805 nights, a drop of 27% year-on-year, while that of domestic tourists totaled 51,035 (-4%).
