Assa-Zag: Rural tourism, promising prospects for development

The Assa-Zag Provincial Tourism Council will organize, from October 4 to 6, 2022, the first session of the Assa-Zag Tourism Forum, under the theme: “Rural tourism, promising prospects for development”.

This event aims to achieve a set of objectives, such as promoting cultural heritage, relaunching the tourist movement and contributing to the promotion of tourism in general. The organization of the first Assa-Zag Tourist Forum coincides with the activities of the religious and commercial Moussem of the Zaouia of Assa, an event that the province organizes every year. The program of the Assa-Zag Tourism Forum takes place over three days, which will see the organization of a number of cultural and artistic activities, as well as seminars on the history of the region, the tourist and cultural potential of this province.

The organizing committee of the first Assa-Zag Tourism Forum has developed a rich program with the participation of a group of specialists and professionals who will shed light on the tourist and cultural potential of the region.

Various activities, artistic and religious evenings will feature in the evenings at the Forum. “This session will be enriched by a distinct program, in which the cultural side is in harmony with its technical, tourist and economic counterpart, as part of the search for the development of the province of Assa-Zag, as a tourist destination” announces an official press release.

Note that the first Assa-Zag Tourism Forum is being held in partnership between the Assa-Zag Provincial Tourism Council, FIJET Morocco, the Southern Provinces Development Agency and the Assa-Zag Provincial Council, with the support of the Guelmim-Oued-Noun Region and in coordination with local authorities.
