Hyatt expands its network in Morocco
The hotel company Hyatt Hotels Corporation intends to strengthen its presence in Africa and expand its network of more than 750 properties in 55 countries on six continents. The company plans to open nine new Hyatt chain establishments in seven countries on the continent by the end of 2020.
In this expansion plan, Morocco is not left out. Two new establishments will be added to their two elders already in place in Casablanca and Taghazout.
The 3rd hotel of the Hyatt chain in Morocco will also be located in Taghazout, said a company press release. It will be called “Hyatt Regency Taghazout” and will open its doors in the 3rd quarter of 2019. It will have 205 rooms and will be built on a site of approximately 18 hectares facing the beach in the Taghazout Bay development zone.
One will include an 18-hole golf course, beach club, shopping center, tennis school, Moroccan spa and surf camp as well as numerous dining options.
The chain’s 4th establishment in Morocco will take up residence in Marrakech. Named Park Hyatt Marrakech, this 181-room hotel will open in 2020. It will feature a hotel complex and an 18-hole golf course inspired by the Moroccan garden, designed by award-winning golf course designer Kyle Phillips.
Note that the 7 other establishments will be open in Algeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Senegal, Egypt and Tanzania.
