THE ULTIMATE LUXURY ACCORDING TO FORBES: THE ROYAL MANSOUR MARRAKECH IN THE TOP 50

Only 6% of luxury hotels in the world can claim to obtain the “verified” label. And to win the precious sesame, you still need to be able to go beyond the boundaries of luxury, to reinvent the exceptional, to give another definition to perfection. Everything in these dream places must be impeccable, and much more.

Among this short list of 58 hotels selected in 17 countries around the world is the Royal Mansour in Marrakech, in 39th position. This establishment, which highlights Moroccan artisanal know-how, was designed 80% by hand. This royal property, we are told, mobilized 1,200 craftsmen for three years.

Forbes also highlights the fact that each room is unique, and that riads are not simple suites but private residences in their own right. “Extravagant in the positive sense of the word,” continues Forbes, admiring the walls covered in gold leaf, the onyx floors and the sculpted wood and describing the tunnels that wind under the feet of visitors, and where the palace team works discreetly, away from prying eyes, so as not to disturb customers with their comings and goings.

Forbes continues his visit by admiring the exclusive and intimate atmosphere that reigns in this dream place with a special mention for its spa and its garden designed by Luis Vallejo.

Finally, gastronomy also represents one of the palace’s strong points with three notable restaurants, La Grande Table Marocaine, La Grande Table française and finally the Garden.

Note that this ultra-select ranking is largely dominated by Macau, the big winner with four establishments selected: the Altira Macau, the Nüwa Macau, the Ritz-Carlton Macau and the Wynn Macau.
