German tour operators discovering the region
German tour operators and journalists are visiting the Souss-Massa region this week, discovering the tourist sites of the Taroudant and Tata provinces. This eductour, which extends over five days, is initiated by the Rural Tourism Development Network (RDTR) of the region and the delegation of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) in Germany, in collaboration with the Souss-Massa Regional Council.
According to the president of the RDTR, Abdelhakim Sabri, “this familiarization trip is an opportunity for rural tourism professionals to strengthen the attractiveness of the Souss-Massa destination and to exchange with the German delegation, made up of 10 tour operators and journalists specializing in nature tourism.”
The German delegation’s program includes visits to several sites, including the Arganeraie Biosphere Reserve, the High Atlas Mountains, the Foum Zguid dunes and Lake Iriqui to Tata. A visit to the rock engravings, the oases of Tissint and the house of Charles de Foucauld in Tissint in the province of Tata are also planned, in addition to the oasis of Tiout and the Saffron of Taliouine in Taroudant
This is the second edition of the eductour dedicated to the promotion of rural tourism in the region. A first discovery trip was organized last June to Agadir Ida Outanane, Chtouka Aït Baha, Tiznit and Tafraout.
