Tourist Transport: FNTT’s proposals to revive the sector
The National Federation of Tourist Transport (FNTT) presented, Friday April 30, a series of proposals intended to ensure the recovery of the transport sector tourist
LA FNTT indicated, in this sense, that its national office followed with interest the recent adoption of the new strategy of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) aimed at accelerating the pace of the revival of the tourism sector after the improvement of the health situation, expressing its mobilization for the success of this roadmap with the objectives of giving a powerful boost to the resumption of tourist activity in the Kingdom.
In order to strengthen and promote this strategy, the FNTT proposes to support tourism businesses through tax exemption, the generalization of support to all employees in the sector, the postponement of the repayment of credit deadlines relating to 2020 and 2021, and the establishment of a solidarity banking product for the benefit of these businesses, indicates a press release from the FNTT.
After highly welcoming the adoption by the ONMT of this new strategy to promote national tourism aimed at beginning the revival of the tourism sector as soon as health conditions allow, the Federation proposes to take into consideration the purchasing power of citizens in order to encourage them to travel and discover the tourist sites of their country and make available to Moroccans Residing Abroad the fleet of tourist transport during Operation Marhaba 2021, which has all the quality criteria and comfort and adopts the specifications relating to prevention against the spread of Covid-19, adds the same source.
The FNTT also recommends the promotion of the training of human resources in the tourism sector, in order to support the evolution experienced by tourism professions around the world, the launch of a digital platform dedicated to receiving complaints and surveying opinions on the quality of the product, as well as an opening to all global markets including those from Asia and America alongside traditional markets, while attaching great importance to the very promising African market, we read in the press release.
It also involves the conclusion of partnerships between stakeholders in the tourism sector in order to launch tourism products accessible to all budgets and which take into consideration the exceptional economic situation and its repercussions on purchasing powers.
The ONMT recently unveiled its new marketing system to promote the Morocco destination which will be deployed at the international, national and institutional levels. This ambitious strategy aims to begin the recovery of the tourism sector as soon as health conditions allow.
Developed following several studies, this new brand architecture is based on a segmentation of its audiences into three main categories.
In addition to the historic brand “Visitmorocco”, dedicated to promoting the Morocco destination to international tourists, which has benefited from an overhaul to improve its relevance, the office is setting up two new brands.
These are “Ntla9awfbladna”, a brand dedicated to the promotion of internal tourism among Moroccans (locals and Moroccans from around the world) and the institutional brand “onmt” with a new visual identity and a specific strategic platform, dedicated to interactions with the professional and institutional ecosystem of the office, both national and international.
