
Tourism: French tour operators will hold their annual congress in Rabat in April 2024
The Union of Tour Operating Companies (SETO), which brings together the 70 largest tour operators on the French market, will organize its annual congress in April 2024 in Rabat, indicates the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) in a press release.

These French tourism professionals were invited to a trip to Morocco on November 9 and 10, by the ONMT and the National Tourism Confederation (CNT), with the aim of strengthening the position of the Morocco destination with the French market, the leading supplier of foreign tourists to the Kingdom.
“The SETO trip to Morocco will allow the members of this union, which brings together the leading tour operators in France, to discover first-hand the new revisited offer that Morocco offers. Our ambition is to strengthen our historic position in this strategic market, which represents nearly 35% of the total revenue of our tourism industry,” explained Adel El Fakir, director general of the ONMT, quoted in a previous press release. SETO achieved more than 5 billion euros in turnover during the 2023 summer season, a large part of which was in the North African markets and mainly in Morocco. “Morocco ranked 5th in the top 10 SETO customers by country during the 2023 summer season, showing the largest increase (+38.8%). For the 2023-2024 winter season, Morocco rose to 3rd place in terms of business volume, recording remarkable growth of 65.8%,” reveals the Office.
