Tourism: Morocco, one of the best destinations to visit in 2024 (CNN)

Morocco is among the best destinations to visit during the year 2024, indicates the American television channel CNN in its “Travel” section.

The major media recommends tourists to explore other places in the Kingdom, such as Tetouan and Meknes, “less frequented but undoubtedly just as attractive” as the popular cities of Marrakech, Rabat and Fez.

Favorite of long-time travelers thanks to its landscape diversified and with its spectacular architecture, Morocco has bounced back with determination after a devastating earthquake last September », writes CNN which placed emphasis in the choice of the selected destinations on criteria linked in particular to ease of travel, respect for eco-tourism and the discovery of less frequented places. Under the title: « where to go in 2024: the best places to visit », the American channel underlines that while visitors have « a tendency to converge on popular cities such as Marrakech, Rabat and Fez, the country certainly does not lack less frequented places, but undoubtedly just as attractive”. Among the recommended places are the cities of Tétouan and Meknes, which are part of the country’s nine UNESCO World Heritage sites, indicates the same source in the section reserved for Morocco and illustrated with a photo of the Medina of the White Colombe. For CNN, Morocco is a “world leader” in terms of sustainable tourism, thanks to several initiatives aimed at boosting renewable energy production. The country is also home to a number of important eco-friendly hotels. Globally, the American media notes the boom in tourism activity with a jump of around 90% compared to pre-pandemic levels in 2023, which has given rise to a peak in attendance in the most popular destinations.
