Morocco in force at WTM London 2023

The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) is deploying a special system for its participation in the World Travel Market-WTM London 2023, which is being held from November 6 to 8, 2023 in London. A strong Moroccan delegation is present at this show, through the participation of 44 professional co-exhibitors and the representation of the 12 regions of Morocco. The delegation is led by the Minister of Tourism, Crafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Adel El Fakir, CEO of the ONMT and Hamid Bentaher, president of the National Tourism Confederation. An unmissable event for the travel industry, the WTM is the largest BtoB exhibition in the world, generating nearly 35 billion dirhams in contracts. For this 2023 edition, Morocco is the destination in the spotlight of the show. It thus benefits from exceptional branding and an exclusive presence during the opening ceremony. The ONMT is taking advantage of this exceptional participation to reveal its new stand concept, which will be redeployed at all Morocco trade fairs between 2023 and 2024. A Morocco pavilion with a record surface area of 760 m2 has been deployed, including 130 m2 dedicated to the regions of Marrakech-Safi and Agadir-Souss Massa, two destinations most popular with British tourists. Partnerships signed by the ONMT On the sidelines of the show, the ONMT signed a partnership with the British TO JET2, market leader, over 5 years. The agreement aims to integrate the Morocco destination into the top position in the programming of the first British TO. It will also involve scheduling, during the first year of the agreement, 17 flights per week from several source areas in the United Kingdom. These frequencies should eventually reach 28 per week. The Office has also established a 5-year partnership with eDreams ODIGEO, the world’s leading travel subscription platform which owns the eDreams, GO Voyages, Opodo and Travellink brands. The objective of this contract is to triple the current annual objectives, with an annual growth rate of approximately 30%.
