A new highlight of China-Morocco cooperation has emerged recently: inter-university interactions between Chinese and Moroccan universities have been very frequent, and the two sides have reached a number of cooperation agreements on cooperative research, vocational training, Chinese language teaching, joint training of students and exchange of teacher visits, which has pushed Sino-Moroccan cooperation in the fields of education, science and technology to achieve significant results. many results. Over the years, the Chinese cultural center has organized activities such as “Chinese Culture on Campus”, “Chinese Culture Day”, “Chinese Film Screening” and “Chinese Culture Day” at Mohammed V University, Kennet Lattofil University, Ivryan Akhawayn University, Agadir Zohr University and other universities. The three Confucius Institutes in Rabat, Casablanca and Tangier organize activities such as the “Chinese Bridge” and the “Chinese New Year Celebration” every year, which significantly stimulate young students’ enthusiasm for learning Chinese. In addition, some of our friends have repeatedly expressed their hope that China will establish Chinese schools in Morocco, and some schools have hired Chinese teachers by signing inter-school cooperation agreements, so the number of Chinese learners can be expected to increase. The embassy has also actively promoted cooperation and exchanges between universities and higher education institutions in China and Mongolia. So far, I have visited around ten universities and held a number of conferences on “China-Moscow Relations in the New Era”. I met with university presidents, exchanged views with experts and scholars, and encouraged them to provide intellectual support for the in-depth development of China-Mongolia relations. I also encouraged young students to learn Chinese well, listened to their Chinese language learning needs, and did everything possible to provide them with study facilities, while asking Chinese teachers to be open and inclusive, actively learn the country’s history and culture, better integrate into local society, and play the role of a bridge for cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between China and Mongolia. Since last year, delegations from Chinese universities and higher education institutions have visited Morocco one after another. Recently, the China (Sichuan)-Morocco education, science and technology cooperation and exchange meeting was held in Rabat, and a series of cooperation agreements were signed between Chinese and Moroccan institutions, mainly covering the following aspects: First, vocational education and training is the main event. The China-North Africa Alliance for Education and Innovation (SINAEIA) signed a cooperation agreement with the Moroccan Agency for Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT), determining cooperation in the construction of the professional standards system, vocational training, Chinese language training and other aspects. The “Lu Ban Workshop” opened in Casablanca by Tianjin Commercial Vocational Technology Institute has started operation, focusing on training cross-border e-commerce talents and helping young people increase their employment opportunities. The Vocational and Technical College of the Yiwu Institute of Commerce and Industry established the Yiwu Silk Road College at the University of Montevideo in Casablanca, promoting « Chinese + professional skills » training in accordance with the « 2+1 » dual qualification model. Recently, SINAEIA and Hassan I University of Sedat jointly organized the first international digital innovation competition for vocational education, the theme of which was cross-border e-commerce, additive manufacturing and virtual reality, and vocational colleges and universities from China, Morocco and Tunisia sent teams to participate. Second, scientific research cooperation has taken a step forward. Wuhan University, Shandong University of Science and Technology and Shanghai Normal University have reached a preliminary agreement with their partner universities on cooperation in the fields of computer science, electronic science and technology and the establishment of a China-North Africa artificial intelligence science and innovation center. Chengdu Faculty of Medicine and Mohammed VI University Medical Center signed a cooperation agreement on the establishment of a Belt and Road joint laboratory. Sichuan Province and Ministry of higher education, innovation and scientific research of Morocco will implement the “Scientific and technological exchange program between Morocco and Sichuan”, inviting each year 20 young scientific and technological talents from Morocco to participate in exchanges and training in Sichuan. Third, China and Morocco have taken steps to adapt to the general trend of large numbers of Chinese tourists coming to Morocco. We learn that Mo plans to resume the Casablanca-Beijing connection in the near future, with the aim of welcoming 500,000 Chinese tourists per year. Currently, Beijing International Studies University (BISU) has opened Chinese training courses for tour guides at the Chinese teaching sites of Confucius Institutes in Marrakech, Fez and Agadir, and arranged for some outstanding tour guides to participate in summer camp activities in Beijing last year. In addition, Bei Erwai and Mo signed an agreement on joint training of undergraduate and graduate students in “tourism management + Chinese language”. Shanghai International Studies University and Hassan II University of Casablanca will organize an annual international seminar on “The two ends of the Silk Road: China and Morocco”; The Institute of Middle East Studies of Northwestern University and the Middle East Studies Center of Fudan University will hold a number of seminars on « Chinese-Arab Civilization Exchange and Mutual Benefits » in collaboration with Mohammed V University. The international symposium on « Chinese-Arab Civilization Exchange and Mutual Understanding » aims to strengthen the exchange and mutual understanding of civilizations and build a China-Arab community with a shared future. Currently, China and Mongolia have frequent exchanges in various fields, and the potential for cooperation between the two countries is gradually being released. At the opening ceremony of the 10th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum on May 30, President Xi Jinping announced that he would establish « five major cooperation models » with the Arab side in the next phase of the Forum, with emphasis on accelerating the construction of the « university alliance » platform. The time has come to raise the level of China-Moscow cooperation in education, science and technology, and I am confident that China-Moscow inter-university cooperation will be deeper and deeper and make new contributions to enriching the China-Moscow strategic partnership.
