
HM the King presides over a religious vigil in commemoration of blessed Laylat Al-Qadr at the Royal Palace in Rabat
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, may God help him, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, as well as Their Highnesses Prince Moulay Ahmed and Prince Moulay Ismaïl, presided over Thursday, Ramadan 26, 1446 A.H. (corresponding to March 27 2025), a religious vigil in commemoration of blessed Laylat Al-Qadr, at the Royal Palace in Rabat. The ceremony began with the prayer of Al-Icha and the Taraouih, followed by the closing reading of the Sahih Al-Boukhari, performed by Mr. Lahcen Id Said, member of the Superior Council of Ulemas, after the recitation of the “Hadith Al Khatm” by Mr. Abderrazak Tourabi, representative of the local Council of Ulemas of Rabat. Then, the young Meriem Assim, aged 12 and originally from Sidi Bennour, winner of the Mohammed VI National Prize for memorization, declamation and chanting of the Holy Quran, recited verses from the Holy Book. At the end of this recitation, she had the honor of being greeted by the Sovereign. Continuing this vigil imbued with spirituality, His Majesty the King presented the distinctions of the Mohammed VI Prize: The “Ahl Al-Qurâan” Prize was awarded to Mr. Mohamed Idrissi Tahiri of Agadir. The “Ahl Al-Hadith” Prize was awarded to Mr. Mustapha Azaryah from Tetouan. The Sovereign also honored the winners of the Mohammed VI Prize for Koranic Schools in its three categories: Abdeslam Khayali of Kelâa des Sraghna (Learning Methodology Prize), Abdallah Raiss of Tiznit (Performance Prize), Mohamed Mazzouz of Tangier (Management Prize). Furthermore, the Mohammed VI Prize for Adhan and Tahlil was awarded in its two categories: Ayoub Nadi from Tangier received the Prize for Excellence, Abdelkader Ben Errabeh from Oued Zem obtained the Honorary Prize. During this ceremony, prayers were raised to implore the Most High to preserve His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to guide His steps and to bless His action in favor of the progress and prosperity of the Moroccan people. The audience also prayed for the Royal Family, in particular His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid. Prayers were also dedicated to the memory of the late Sovereigns, the late HM King Mohammed V and the late HM King Hassan II, imploring God to welcome them in His holy mercy. This solemn vigil brought together several personalities, notably the Head of Government, the Presidents of the two Houses of Parliament, Advisors to His Majesty the King, members of the government, diplomats representing Islamic countries accredited to Morocco, as well as senior officers of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces and various civil and military figures.
