Silence is not a cure…and silent resistance is a form of life

♦Mohamed KHARTOUF

In a world saturated with noise, stress and injunctions to perform, silence sometimes seems to be an escape. When pressures become stifling, when life tightens like a vice, many people take refuge in silence or isolation,

But should we really believe that silence heals all wounds?

Psychologists, sociologists and even philosophers agree that silence can soothe, but it does not heal in itself, humans are beings of connection, expression and confrontation, remaining withdrawn for a long time can aggravate invisible pain.

It is in interaction, in sharing, in the recognition of suffering, that the path to healing often begins, But then, what to do when speaking seems impossible?

Getting up every morning despite moral fatigue, carrying out simple actions in a world that is unsteady around you, is a little-known form of courage, an invisible but real resilience. Contemporary tragedies, wars, economic crises, social collapses, often leave the individual alone facing himself.

Yet, even in this solitude, a light remains, it is not a question of expecting miracles, but of changing one’s outlook on things, as some therapists say, this inner shift, discreet but decisive, allows small things to emerge: a hope, an idea, a movement. will.

They do not heal by running away from life, but by standing in its heart, even wavering, because sometimes life does not change immediately, but we can change the way we go through it.

And this is often where true renewal begins: in a small inner light, strong enough to last another day.
