African Financial Summit 2025: Nadia Fettah Welcomes UN Resolution 2797, Confirming Autonomy Leadership

During the opening of the Fifth Edition of the 2025 African Financial Summit in Casablanca, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, welcomed the decision of the United Nations Security Council to adopt the Historic Resolution 2797 concerning the Moroccan Sahara.
The Minister expressed her great pride in this « decisive » achievement, stressing that the resolution establishes the autonomy initiative as the only basis for the settlement of the artificial conflict, Ms. Fettah affirmed that this UN resolution represents the culmination of the diplomatic and development successes achieved by Morocco under the enlightened leadership of King Mohammed VI, who described this stage as a « decisive turning point » in modern history of the country
The Minister also underlined that the spontaneous joy of the Moroccan people, from Tangier to Lagouira, celebrating this feat, embodies the strong mobilization and unwavering attachment to the national and territorial unity of the Kingdom, while recalling the commemoration of the glorious Green March and the tangible progress observed in the Provinces of South
