Moroccan creativity in the lead: Youssef Idrissi and Laila Rokni doubly rewarded at the “Fashion Trust Arabia Awards” in Doha

Doha was the scene, last Saturday evening, Nov. 22, 2025, of a double coronation Moroccan at the seventh annual « Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) 2025 » awards ceremony, a prestigious regional event dedicated to supporting emerging talents in fashion design, accessories and jewelry

During the ceremony, chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser, President of honor of the FTA, the Moroccan winners shone: designer Youssef Idrissi won the prize in the Ready-to-Wear category, while Laila Rokni was awarded in the Accessories category, thus confirming the strength of the Moroccan presence on the regional creative scene

The event also recognized other Arab designers, such as Ziyad Al-Buainain (Saudi Arabia) for evening fashion and Farah Radwan (Egypt) for jewelry

In addition to competitive awards, the ceremony honored influential global figures in the industry: the award for Lifetime Achievement was awarded to Miuccia Prada in recognition of her legacy and significant contributions to contemporary fashion, while the Entrepreneurship award went to fashion designer Zuhair Murad for his pioneering role in the internationalization of Arab haute couture. Note that the Fashion Trust Arabia is the first initiative of its kind in the region, providing crucial financial support and professional mentoring to empower local designers and prepare them to break into the global market
