With the participation of nearly 800 personalities and security delegations representing 179 countries, this international event once again affirmed Morocco’s strategic position as a regional and global pole in the face of security challenges contemporary
This session provided an open space for dialogue and exchange of experiences between senior police and security officials from around the world, participants discussed ways to improve joint action and develop mechanisms to combat all forms of crime organized crime, terrorism, human trafficking and digital fraud, the increase of which is notable on the five continents
The discussions also highlighted the importance of strengthening modern technologies in security work, in particular through the development of the bases of data, expanding cooperation in tracking cross-border criminal networks, and ensuring a rapid and effective international response to new security challenges
This session was also an opportunity to highlight the growing international appreciation of the role Moroccan in the global security system, several distinguished personalities, including heads of European, Asian and African security agencies, expressed their admiration for the high level of professionalism of Moroccan security services and for the leadership role that Morocco plays in supporting regional and international security
In this context, the Head of the Criminal Police of Germany, Holger Münch, praised the quality of security cooperation between Rabat and Berlin, describing it as « very good » and affirming that Morocco is a reliable and active partner in the fight against organized crime, the hosting of this global event by Marrakech has strengthened its reputation as an international space capable of organizing large conferences, thanks to its infrastructure developed, its security stability and its exceptional capacity to receive guests from different continents. expanding cooperation, developing partnerships and exchanging experiences relating to cyber security, financial crime and international tracking operations
The work of the General Assembly concluded with the adoption of a set of recommendations aimed at strengthening international police networks, developing information exchange systems and consolidating the operating rules of Interpol to guarantee its effectiveness and transparency. Morocco’s central role in leading future security initiatives, both at the African and global level, was reaffirmed
Through this event, Marrakech this week consolidated its position as the capital of international security, and a key platform for the assessment of security challenges and the development of a common roadmap towards a more secure and stable world
