The Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, will make a two-day working visit to Rabat on Monday, January 22. During this visit, the head of Mauritanian diplomacy will meet Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad.

On the agenda of the talks will be, in addition to bilateral relations, the situation in the Maghreb, including the question of the Moroccan Sahara, as well as the latest developments in the Sahel region, observers estimate. In this regard, it is not excluded that the two parties also discuss the ministerial meeting which was recently held in Marrakech around the Moroccan initiative for access of the Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean. Tensions in the Middle East, centered on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, will also be discussed by the two heads of diplomacy.
