The Moroccan Association of Mothers and Fathers of Students from Morocco in Ukraine announced that the official meeting it recently held with officials from the ministries of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation and Health and Social Protection resulted in a “total understanding” of the issues raised in the repatriated students’ file
The meeting, devoted to examining the new features and constraints of the file, was structured around main requests presented by the National Office of the Association, in particular the need to reduce the processing times for equivalence files and the reduction in the duration of compulsory internships, as well as the call for the creation of a national institution specialized in the file of studies abroad to avoid the recurrence of equivalence problems in the future
Representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education confirmed that these proposals will be submitted to the network of deans of medical faculties during their meeting scheduled for November 28, 2025
The Central Director of the ministry also indicated that the new bill on Higher Education includes the possibility of creating foreign university establishments in Morocco, which would reduce the burden on families
Concerning the Ministry of Health, emphasis was placed on the imperative of providing equipment and appropriate conditions for internships in dentistry and expanding spaces training at the national level
The discussion also focused on the establishment of financial compensation for students and graduates repatriated from Ukraine, like national students, a request which received a favorable response and for which the Association will contact the Ministry of Finance
In conclusion, the two parties granted on a major operational measure: the creation of a unified electronic platform bringing together all government and professional stakeholders, with the aim of facilitating communication between students and sector players
