Official distribution of materials and equipment to former detainees in El Youssoufia as part of the national socio-economic integration program

Under the presidency of Mr. Abdelmoumen Taleb, governor of the province of El Youssoufia, an official ceremony was held yesterday Friday at the headquarters of governance for the delivery of equipment and materials to several former detainees from different regions of the Kingdom

This initiative is part of the national program aimed at strengthening the socio-economic integration of this category, in accordance with the high royal directives calling for the promotion of the values of citizenship and social justice. This meeting brought together several leading judicial, security and administrative figures, notably the general coordinator of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the reintegration of detainees, the vice-president of the court of first instance of El Youssoufia, the King’s prosecutor at the court of El Youssoufia, as well as the regional director of the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration

Also present were representatives of the national police, local elected officials and heads of external services. During the ceremony, a detailed presentation was presented on the results of the integrated reintegration program, highlighting the efforts made to support former prisoners in their rehabilitation and professional integration through training, social monitoring and support for self-employment

A partnership agreement was also signed between the Mohammed VI Foundation and the Provincial Human Development Commission of El Youssoufia, in order to unify efforts and ensure lasting support for beneficiaries. In total, equipment was provided for the implementation of 18 income-generating projects, spread across several sectors: agriculture (22%), catering (22%), services (17%), commerce (17%), traditional crafts (9%), building (5%) and sewing (6%)

At the end of the ceremony, the governor, accompanied by those responsible for the sectors concerned, proceeded to provide direct financial support to the beneficiaries, thus illustrating the authorities’ commitment to ensuring a new stable start and successful integration into society.
