Radisson Hotel Group, record expansion in Morocco and North Africa in 2021

2021 was an exceptional year for Radisson Hotel Group in North Africa, with the signing of nine hotels. These signatures bring the Group’s portfolio in North Africa to more than 30 hotels in operation and development.

“We are delighted to position ourselves as a leader in hotel expansion in the North African market. A record expansion that we consider important for us and for the sector… The market has demonstrated great potential in various segments but also in different types of products, such as: seaside hotels, urban hotels, hotel residences and boutique hotels… We are determined to develop our presence in new tourist areas like the launch in Morocco of new leisure offers across the country,” declared Alban Mabille de Poncheville, Director of Development North Africa at Radisson Hotel Group.

As the leading tourist destination in Africa, fueled by the constant growth of the Business and Leisure segments, Morocco has been identified as a priority to support the growth of Radisson Hotel Group and achieve operational synergies, affirms the group in a press release.

According to Mabille de Poncheville, the Group’s development approach in Morocco is based on two pillars: “Firstly, it is about proactively establishing our presence and developing our portfolio in each of the key cities, namely: Casablanca, Marrakech, Rabat and Tangier… Secondly, the diversification of countries opens up new opportunities for urban stays, seaside resorts and cultural stays. In addition to known tourist cities, we are seeing the emergence of new destinations such as Al Hoceima, Saïdia and Taghazout. Each of these new destinations has strong potential to complete our presence on the Moroccan market.”
