
Dakhla: launch of a direct flight to Paris
A new direct airline between Dakhla and Paris, the first of its kind, will be established in November 2017 with a weekly flight served by the French company Transavia, announced Tuesday in Rabat, the Director General of the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT), Abderrafie Zouitene.
This project is the culmination of two years of work with the various communication players, in particular journalists and bloggers who set out to discover Dakhla with the help of the ONMT, underlined Mr. Zouitene who spoke during an information meeting on the tourism sector with the national press.
“We will also work to open the city of Dakhla to other international lines,” he added.
Moreover, Mr. Zouitene announced that the ONMT has launched an “original” campaign on several French media in order to promote the tourist destination Morocco.
This campaign is part of a strategy developed by the Office to promote Moroccan heritage and explain the values of the Kingdom, its identity, its history, he said.
