Moroccan tourists who arrived in Agadir during the month of July numbered 62,583, thus occupying the first place among visitors of different nationalities who opted for this destination.
According to data from the Agadir Souss-Massa Regional Tourism Council, the number of national tourists arriving in hotels, tourist clubs and tourist residences classified from Agadir to price of July 2019 saw an increase of 10.43% compared to the number of 56,671 recorded during the year 2018.
French tourists come in second position with 18,124 arrivals compared to 14,536 during July of the previous year, marking an increase of 24.68%, notes the same source, adding that British tourists occupies 3rd position with 10,240 arrivals against 9,107, an increase of 12.44%.
Tourist establishments classified in Agadir recorded 130,569 arrivals of different nationalities during the month of July compared to 127,240 for the same period a year previously, an increase of 2.62%, specifies the Council.
The average occupancy rate of classified hotels, tourist clubs and tourist residences reached 65.27% in July, while the average stay for each tourist is estimated at 4.77 nights, compared to 4.92 nights in 2018.
