The city of El Jadida is preparing to host the seventh edition of the half-marathon and 10 km race, which will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in celebration of the 49th anniversary of Morocco’s Independence. This exceptional sporting event is organized by the Mazagan Association in coordination with the prefecture of the province of El Jadida and the urban commune, under the slogan “Sport for development”.
The departure of the El Jadida half-marathon is scheduled for 9 a.m. and is open to all categories, men and women. This race aims to promote the city as a sporting, tourist and cultural destination. An annual meeting attracting sports enthusiasts from across the country, offering a unique experience that combines the appeal of sport with a contribution to community development.
The Mazagan Association, organizer of this event for the seventh consecutive year, seeks to revitalize the sports sector as a fundamental element of local development, while strengthening the city’s tourism. Finally, the organizers hope that these sporting events will reveal the talents of young people in urban and peri-urban races, encourage the practice of sport and highlight the sporting and development achievements that the city of El Jadida is witnessing during this period of celebration of Independence Day.
