The Dakhla-Paris direct line operational on October 28
The low-cost company Transavia is expanding its network in Morocco, by opening a new airline route between the city of Dakhla and Paris on October 28.
Initially, this line will be served once a week, namely on Thursdays. Tickets are available at 1,500 DH one way. The travel time is 4 hours 50 minutes. The first of its kind, this line is the culmination of two years of work carried out by the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) with the various communication actors, in particular journalists and bloggers who set out to discover Dakhla. The latter chartered a special Paris-Dakhla flight in March 2015 to organize a pan-European familiarization trip for the benefit of 160 journalists and tour operators in order to discover the attractions of the destination. The Canarian airline “BinterCanarias” has already strengthened its direct lines between Las Palmas and the city of Dakhla, with two weekly flights. Departures are scheduled from these islands every Wednesday and Saturday at 11:35 a.m. and return from Dakhla at 2:05 p.m.
The company Royal Air Maroc will further strengthen its offer to the Dakhla destination through the opening of two additional weekly frequencies between this city and Casablanca, i.e. 10 flights per week, offering 3,200 seats per week including 240 in business. These flights are offered at a fixed price of 1,000 DH including tax (one way) in economy class and 2,000 DH in business class. This increase in supply is part of the agreement signed between the airline and the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, with the aim of contributing to the economic and tourist development of the region. The same company recently carried out the renovation of its sales agency in Dakhla, which is part of its customer-centered strategy. It aims to offer a welcoming and sharing space capable of deploying a personalized service for its customers, and to be even closer to them, and to provide effective solutions to their needs. This new connection is part of the development program for the southern provinces, via greater air connectivity, and more openness to the world.
