
The Academy of the Kingdom organizes “The Conference of Human and Social Sciences”
The Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco is organizing, on February 7 and 8 in Rabat, “the Human and Social Sciences Conference”, with the aim of taking stock of these disciplines in the Moroccan context. These meetings will bring together Moroccan and foreign experts to conduct “a reflection on the state of the human and social sciences and their scope, in the light of their theoretical and conceptual developments, in relation to the issues and challenges facing contemporary societies, in general, and Moroccan society in particular,” indicates a press release from the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco. “The profound changes that Morocco is experiencing, both economically and on a human level, as well as the transformations that society is experiencing, call for a mobilization of knowledge developed by the human and social sciences to inform public policies and analyze, understand and grasp the logic and complexity of the transformations underway,” notes the same source. The discussions during these meetings will take place within the framework of plenary sessions focused on general themes linked to the social sciences in their relationship to digital technology, philosophical thought, interdisciplinarity or even their role in society. The workshops will mainly focus on the situation of human and social sciences in the Moroccan context to take stock of the situation and take stock of the production of researchers in Morocco, concludes the press release.
