Silent administrative earthquake: Investigations and arrests targeting local and territorial officials across the Kingdom

The Walis and Governors of the Kingdom have launched interpellation procedures and opened in-depth administrative investigations concerning several files linked to the operation of public services and the quality of services provided to citizens. This approach is undertaken in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of the Interior, aimed at strengthening governance and transparency within the various territorial administrations

According to informed sources, this initiative is part of the new approach adopted by the Ministry to control local management, monitor development projects and identify any potential anomaly likely to harm the rights of users or hinder the implementation of programs public

The same sources added that the Walis and Governors have sent requests for formal explanations to several territorial and municipal officials. The latter are called upon to provide clarifications on observations raised by the inspection commissions, in particular those concerning the delay in the execution of certain projects, the absence of essential execution documents, or the poor management of financial and human.
