Bloomberg: After a record year, Morocco among the must-see tourist destinations in 2024
Thanks to a successful promotion strategy, Morocco welcomed nearly 14 million tourists last year, a record, wrote Tuesday the American agency Bloomberg which included the Kingdom in a short list of essential destinations to visit in 2024.
The Morocco destination is definitely favored by the major American media. After CNN, which ranked Morocco among the best destinations to visit in 2024, it is the turn of the Bloomberg agency to praise the tourist attractiveness of the Kingdom. In an article entitled “Where to go in 2024?”, the American agency writes that “despite the earthquake which struck the Al Haouz region, Morocco achieved a record year in 2023 with 14 million tourists, or one million more than in 2019, a dynamic to be attributed mainly to the Moroccan strategy which consists of promoting tourism beyond traditional destinations such as Marrakech”. Recommending tourists 24 international destinations to visit in 2024, the agency indicates in particular that the ocher city is full of hotel structures and “creative delights” which combine modernity and Moroccan authenticity. Same observation in the northern region of Morocco which offers elegant boutique hotels and guarantees visitors a setting far from the large seaside resorts of Tangier, notes the media which highlights, among other things, the charms of tropical gardens and the breathtaking view of the Strait of Gibraltar. Bloomberg further notes that tourists can also explore bustling Rabat, citing several attractions that make the Kingdom’s capital distinctive. Note that the year 2024 promises to be a good year for the global travel industry. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), some 4.7 billion people will fly in 2024. This trend marks a difference compared to years marked in particular by the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic, economic uncertainty and geopolitical conflicts, observes Bloomberg.
