Emirati investors prospecting in Morocco

The head of government received representatives of Dubai Holding on July 11 in Rabat.

In a dispatch published this Wednesday July 12, MAP announces that the head of government, Saad Eddine El Othmani, received representatives of Dubai Holding on July 11 in Rabat.

According to the press agency, which cites a press release from the Prime Minister, the representatives of the Emirati group had requested the support of El Othmani to whom they presented « their areas of interest and their projects » in Morocco.

On its website, Dubai Holding describes itself as « a global investment conglomerate » active in 14 countries and employing 22,000 people.  The company has several subsidiaries including the Jumeirah group, specializing in luxury hotels, and owner of the very famous Dubai hotel, Burj Al Arab.

The holding company also owns the Dubai Group, which owns Dubai Bank, and the Arab Media Group company which is one of the leaders in the media sector in the Middle East. Dubai Holding is also active in the real estate and healthcare sectors. According to our colleagues at Medias24, the company achieves an annual turnover of 32 billion euros.
