Morocco/Sierra Leone… a duel that leads straight to the World Cup

The Moroccan U20 football team will play Monday against Sierra Leone in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. This match is important because it can allow the Atlas Lion Cubs to qualify for the World Cup and reach the semi-finals of the CAN. Morocco qualified after good results in the group stage, with two wins and a draw, finishing first in Group B with 7 points, ahead of Nigeria. The players, led by Mohamed Ouahbi, are motivated and confident. The coach said the goal is to win the African title, and he trusts his team and his staff. Sierra Leone, who are participating in the U20 AFCON for the first time, also performed well in Group A, with teams including Egypt, South Africa, Zambia and Tanzania. Morocco hopes to continue its momentum, as the other national selections have done, notably the U17s and the women’s futsal team. As a reminder, Morocco already won the CAN U20 in 1997.
